In today's industrial landscape, resolving disputes between labor and management is a critical concern. Industrial disputes, arising from various issues such as labor rights, wages, working conditions, and job security, have the potential to disrupt the harmony and productivity of workplaces. Traditional methods of resolving these disputes, often characterized by adversarial approaches such as strikes, legal battles, and lockouts, can result in prolonged conflicts, economic losses, and strained labor relations. This study, based on a comprehensive analysis of secondary data, focuses on the role of Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) mechanisms in addressing industrial conflicts. ADR, which includes negotiation, mediation, and arbitration, offers a more collaborative and consensual approach to dispute resolution. It provides a platform for employers and employees to engage in open dialogue, explore common ground, and reach mutually agreeable solutions. The research delves into the historical evolution of ADR in the context of industrial disputes, its contemporary application, and its potential to mitigate economic losses and preserve labor relations. By shedding light on the merits of ADR, this study aims to contribute to a deeper understanding of how collaborative dispute resolution methods can be integrated into the industrial fabric, fostering a more harmonious and productive working environment. Through an examination of the historical context, evolving trends, and the perspectives of key stakeholders, including employers and employees, this research seeks to offer insights that can inform policies, practices, and mechanisms for the resolution of industrial disputes. Ultimately, the goal is to create a workplace environment where conflicts are minimized, and the dignity and rights of all workers are upheld, contributing to a more equitable and prosperous society.
