Mindfulness and its Relationship to the Professional Performance of Physical Education and Sports Science Faculty in the Southern Region

This study examined mindfulness and its relationship to the professional performance of physical education faculty members in the southern region. Mindfulness is
considered an important part of the educational process, and therefore, faculty members must possess it. Mindfulness is one of the various mental processes in sports
psychology that work together to refine the faculty member's personality, enabling them to achieve specific goals and play an effective and appropriate role in serving the
educational process and students as a whole. The researchers used a descriptive survey methodology, as it was suitable for the nature of the study. The research population
consisted of faculty members in physical education and sports science colleges in the southern region, and the population numbered (The study included 240 instructors,
and the sample for construction, application, and pilot testing comprised (230) instructors. The researcher constructed two scales for mindfulness and professional
performance after extracting the scientific foundations and applying appropriate statistical methods. The results showed that physical education instructors in the southern
region possess mindfulness and professional performance.
