Artificial Intelligence (AI) has emerged as a transformative force reshaping strategic management by enabling organizations to simultaneously achieve innovation and organizational efficiency. This conceptual study explores the role of AI in bridging the traditional trade-off between innovation and efficiency within organizations. Drawing upon an extensive review of recent literature, the study develops a comprehensive conceptual framework that positions AI as a strategic enabler influencing key organizational mechanisms, including strategic decision-making, innovation capability, and operational efficiency. The framework highlights how AI technologies such as machine learning, natural language processing, and robotic process automation facilitate data-driven decision-making, accelerate innovation processes, and optimize organizational performance. The study identifies that AI enhances both incremental and radical innovation by enabling organizations to develop new products, improve processes, and respond effectively to dynamic market conditions. Simultaneously, AI-driven automation and analytics improve efficiency by reducing operational costs, minimizing errors, and optimizing resource utilization. By integrating these dimensions, AI eliminates the conventional trade-off between innovation and efficiency, thereby contributing to sustainable competitive advantage, improved organizational performance, and strategic agility. Furthermore, the study emphasizes the role of moderating factors such as organizational culture, technological readiness, top management support, and environmental dynamism in influencing the effectiveness of AI implementation. The findings suggest that successful AI adoption requires a holistic approach that integrates technological capabilities with organizational strategies and human expertise. This research contributes to the existing body of knowledge by providing a conceptual understanding of how AI transforms strategic management practices and supports organizational growth in the digital era. The study offers valuable insights for academicians, practitioners, and policymakers aiming to leverage AI for innovation-driven and efficiency-oriented organizational development.
