Reliability and Validity are crucial for research accuracy and credibility, especially in quantitative studies. Reliability refers to the consistency of
a method, ensuring consistent results under similar conditions, while validity measures whether the method accurately measures intended results.
Assessing reliability through methods like test-retest, inter-rater reliability, or internal consistency, and validity through content, construct, and
criterion validity, ensures trustworthy findings. However, these measures are often overlooked by health and social science researchers in
developing countries due to a lack of knowledge. This article explores reliability and validity tests providing insights for improving research quality.
