Abstract

In the context of increasing globalization, the ability to function effectively across cultures has become a critical competency for organizational success. This study examines the role of Cultural Intelligence (CQ) in influencing negotiation success and key business performance outcomes, including revenue growth, team cohesion, and employee satisfaction. Adopting a quantitative research design, data were collected from professionals across multiple industries such as consulting, IT, manufacturing, and other service sectors using a structured questionnaire based on validated measurement scales. Descriptive analysis revealed notable variations in CQ levels across industries, with the consulting sector demonstrating the highest mean scores. Correlation analysis using the Pearson Correlation Coefficient indicated a moderate positive relationship between CQ and negotiation success (r = 0.45, p < 0.05), along with strong and statistically significant associations between CQ and business performance indicators (p < 0.01). Multiple regression analysis further demonstrated that the four dimensions of CQ—cognitive, metacognitive, motivational, and behavioral—collectively explain 62% of the variance in business outcomes, highlighting the substantial predictive power of cultural intelligence. The findings underscore the strategic importance of CQ as a multidimensional capability that enhances both individual effectiveness in cross-cultural negotiations and overall organizational performance. The study contributes to the growing body of literature on cross-cultural management by providing empirical evidence on the impact of CQ across multiple business domains and offers practical implications for organizations seeking to strengthen their global competitiveness.
